Yeerongpilly Green Urban Renewal Masterplan Unveiled

The $850-million Yeerongpilly Green Urban Renewal Masterplan has been unveiled, featuring a range of commercial and retail spaces, green open space, and residential buildings.

In early August, Minister for Planning Cameron Dick announced the unveiling of the masterplan model for the urban renewal project at Yeerongpilly Green. The urban renewal project will be undertaken over the next ten years, which when completed will be home to 3,000 new residents.

Mr Dick said the construction works at the Yeerongpilly Green will generate around 6600 construction jobs, including 335 apprentice jobs, and 1000 full-time jobs once the project has been completed.

“Yeerongpilly Green will be an exciting urban village for the southside of Brisbane,” Mr Dick said.

The14-hectare riverside site is located just five kilometres from the CBD. The Yeerongpilly Green Urban Renewal project will feature 28,000 sqm of commercial space, 8,750 sqm of retail and dining space, and 1.8 hectares of parkland, along with the construction plans for 1,2000 dwellings.

As part of the revitalisation project, Consolidated Properties Group has already commenced with the off-the-plan sales of the three residential buildings, Park House, Garden House, and Green Terraces.

The  Park House is a six-storey boutique residential building comprising 35 apartments featuring a mix of luxury penthouse apartments, and two-bedroom and one-bedroom apartments whilst the Garden House is also six-stories high and contains 56 residential units offering a mix of one-, two-, three-bedroom, and penthouse apartments.

Green Terraces, on the other hand, features a limited selection of 10 two-storey homes with front and rear courtyards, three bedrooms, and a multi-purpose room.

Also, two key components of the Yeerongpilly Green Urban Renewal’s $17.7-million Stage Two phase — the new River Park and King Arthur Terrace realignment – have already been completed, two months ahead of schedule, Member for Miller Mark Bailey said.

“The opening of a new River Park and cycleway along King Arthur Terrace to connect to Brisbane’s iconic River Loop cycleway will not only be enjoyed by future residents and the local community, but is an important first step in creating this urban village as a landmark destination in Brisbane’s south,” Mr  Bailey said.
