Led by captain and former Grand Slam champion Lleyton Hewitt, the Australian team will face Poland across 19 and 20 September, with the winning nation progressing to the 2027 Davis Cup Qualifiers and moving a step closer to the 2027 Davis Cup Finals. The announcement comes as Brisbane continues to build its calendar of major sporting events ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The tie will be played at Pat Rafter Arena, which has hosted major international tennis events including the Brisbane International. For tennis fans across Brisbane’s western suburbs, including those in Tennyson and surrounding communities, the event will bring international tennis to a venue close to home.

Hewitt, who has captained Australia since 2016, will again guide the national team as it looks to continue its pursuit of another Davis Cup title. Australia reached consecutive Davis Cup finals in 2022 and 2023 and will be aiming to move one step closer to another Finals appearance with a win over Poland.
